Sexuality between two people can continue evolving throughout an entire relationship. Even when intimacy is already fulfilling, there may still be sensations that have never been explored, ways of touching that have never been discovered, different rhythms of arousal that have never been noticed and dimensions of pleasure that remain unfamiliar to both partners. A relationship can be loving, connected and sexually active while still holding an enormous territory of the body that has not yet been explored together.

Kāmarasa — Multi-Orgasmic Tantric Training Retreat for Couples is an intimate Immersion Weekend in Portugal created for couples who want dedicated time to explore this territory. Facilitated in English for international couples, Kāmarasa brings together Tantra, conscious touch, sensory awareness, breath, erotic communication, sexual energy, multi-orgasmic exploration and practices from Authentic Tantra Massage by May Gonzalez within one progressive embodied experience.

At the centre of the training is a different understanding of multi-orgasmic pleasure. The purpose is not to count orgasms or create another expectation around sexual performance. Multi-orgasmic exploration begins with understanding how pleasure develops in the body: how arousal changes through breath, touch, muscular tension, relaxation, movement, anticipation, sound and attention. When couples learn to recognise these responses, sexuality can become less automatic and a much wider field of sensation becomes available to explore.

The Multi-Orgasmic Exploration

Many sexual experiences naturally develop through a familiar progression. Stimulation increases, arousal becomes stronger, attention moves increasingly toward the genitals, orgasm occurs and the experience gradually comes to an end. Multi-orgasmic Tantric training invites couples to become interested in everything happening within that progression rather than focusing exclusively on its final peak.

Partners begin learning to recognise the different stages of arousal, how pleasure builds, where tension appears in the body, how breathing influences sensation and what changes when stimulation slows down instead of continually becoming stronger. Arousal can rise, soften and rise again, allowing pleasure to be experienced with greater awareness rather than automatically moving toward climax.

This creates the possibility of experiencing pleasure in waves and developing a greater understanding of orgasmic response. For men, this can include exploring the relationship between arousal, orgasm and ejaculation. For women, it can involve becoming increasingly aware of different areas of pleasure, rhythms of arousal and orgasmic responses. For both partners, the intention is not to guarantee multiple orgasms. Every body responds differently, and Kāmarasa does not turn pleasure into something participants are expected to achieve. The training develops the conditions through which orgasmic potential can be explored.

Authentic Tantra Massage by May Gonzalez for Couples

Touch is one of the central languages explored during Kāmarasa. Within the retreat, couples are introduced to principles and practices from Authentic Tantra Massage by May Gonzalez, my own embodied approach developed through years of work with Tantra, conscious touch, sexuality, body awareness and somatic education.

Authentic Tantra Massage by May Gonzalez is not simply a collection of intimate massage techniques. The work develops sensitivity to the body and teaches partners to observe how touch is being received. Pressure, rhythm, speed, pauses, breath, temperature, movement and quality of attention can completely change an experience, even when exactly the same part of the body is being touched.

Couples explore the difference between touching mechanically and touching while genuinely listening to the body. This means learning how to give without immediately trying to produce a response and learning how to receive without anticipating what should happen next. Giving and receiving become embodied practices in themselves, allowing partners to recognise patterns that may normally remain unnoticed during intimacy.

As the training develops, the exploration can progressively include sensual and intimate touch, pleasure mapping, Yoni and Lingam awareness, pelvic awareness and educational exploration of areas such as the G-Spot and P-Spot. These elements are not taught as isolated sexual tricks or techniques. They are integrated with breath, body awareness, communication, consent and the ability to recognise how the receiving body is actually responding.

Multi-Orgasmic Pleasure Begins With the Capacity to Feel

One of the foundations of Kāmarasa is that multi-orgasmic pleasure does not begin with the genitals; it begins with the capacity to feel. This is why the retreat does not begin by immediately moving into intimate practices.

Before exploring greater intensity, the body needs to become available to sensation. Couples begin by developing awareness of their senses, breath, movement and the subtle responses that appear through contact. They learn to notice what happens when touch becomes slower, when there is a pause, when attention moves away from the expected sexual areas of the body and when pleasure is given enough time to develop without immediately needing to go somewhere.

This can also change the way couples understand eroticism. Pleasure does not exist exclusively in explicitly sexual areas. Skin, scent, sound, eye contact, anticipation, movement, breath and the quality of presence between two people can all participate in arousal. Developing sensitivity to these elements expands the couple’s erotic vocabulary beyond the forms of stimulation they already know.

For this reason, Kāmarasa is not simply a retreat where couples learn what to do with their hands. The deeper training is learning how to perceive.

Understanding Your Partner’s Arousal

Every body has its own rhythm. One person may become aroused quickly while another needs considerably more time. Someone may respond strongly to movement and visual stimulation while their partner becomes receptive through slower touch, voice, scent, anticipation or relaxation. These differences do not mean that one person has greater sexual capacity than another; they reveal different ways in which bodies enter pleasure.

Within a Tantra couples retreat in Portugal, having dedicated time to observe these differences allows partners to move beyond assumptions about what should create arousal. Instead of repeating the same sequence because it has worked before, couples begin paying attention to what the body is communicating in the present moment.

This is particularly valuable in long-term relationships. Familiarity can create a beautiful sense of knowing another person, but it can also reduce curiosity. We may assume we already know exactly how our partner likes to be touched, what creates arousal and what normally leads toward orgasm. Kāmarasa creates an opportunity to discover the body of someone familiar with renewed attention.

Sexual Energy, Orgasm and Ejaculation

Another important dimension of multi-orgasmic education is understanding the relationship between arousal, orgasm and ejaculation. They frequently occur together in male sexuality and are therefore easily understood as one single event, while Tantric and Taoist approaches have historically explored them as related but distinguishable processes.

Developing awareness of these different stages can help a man recognise his own arousal with greater precision. Breath, pelvic awareness, relaxation, muscular responses and the ability to remain present as stimulation increases all become part of the exploration. Rather than discovering that ejaculation is approaching only at the final moment, greater body awareness can reveal the gradual changes that precede it.

This is not simply an individual practice for the man. His partner can also begin recognising changes in breathing, movement, tension and responsiveness. The exploration becomes something learned together rather than something one person is expected to accomplish alone.

For women, orgasmic exploration can involve becoming increasingly aware of different qualities of stimulation, areas of sensitivity, changes in arousal and the body’s individual rhythms of pleasure. Again, the emphasis is not on creating a required outcome but on expanding awareness of what the body is capable of experiencing.

Erotic Communication Is Part of the Training

Learning new practices has limited value if partners cannot communicate about what they are actually experiencing. Kāmarasa therefore integrates erotic communication into the embodied training.

Couples may communicate easily about work, family, travel, responsibilities and everyday decisions while still finding it surprisingly difficult to communicate precisely about pleasure. Expressing that something needs to be slower, softer, firmer or different can feel unfamiliar. Asking for something new can feel vulnerable, and saying that something does not feel right can sometimes be interpreted as rejection.

Within an intimacy couples retreat, couples can practise developing a clearer language around pleasure, curiosity, preferences and boundaries. This communication is not reserved for moments when something has gone wrong. It becomes part of intimacy itself.

As partners become more capable of recognising what they are experiencing internally, they can also become more precise in communicating it externally. Body awareness and communication therefore develop together throughout the training.

Who Is Kāmarasa For?

Kāmarasa is created for couples who want to explore together. Some may be completely new to Tantra, while others may already have experience with meditation, conscious sexuality, bodywork or embodied practices. Some couples may want to understand each other’s bodies with greater sensitivity, while others may be particularly interested in multi-orgasmic sexuality, orgasm and ejaculation, intimate touch, Yoni and Lingam practices, erotic communication or expanding pleasure beyond familiar patterns.

The retreat is not based on the assumption that a relationship needs to be repaired. A couple can have love, attraction and a fulfilling sexual relationship and still feel curious about what they have not yet discovered together. An intimacy retreat for couples can be chosen because there is a desire for exploration rather than because something is wrong.

Previous experience with Tantra is not required, and neither partner needs to arrive already knowing how to experience multiple orgasms. The purpose of training is precisely to create a progressive environment in which couples can learn, practise and discover together.

Both partners do, however, need to genuinely want to participate. Kāmarasa is a shared experience, and respect for one another’s boundaries, curiosity and willingness to communicate are fundamental parts of the process.

An Intimate Training With Your Own Partner

Although Kāmarasa takes place within a small group, each couple remains focused on their own relationship and practises with their own partner. There is no partner swapping, and the retreat is not designed to create sexual interaction between participating couples.

May Gonzalez remains in the role of educator and facilitator, introducing concepts, demonstrating and guiding practices while couples explore within their own partnership. The group creates a shared educational environment, but the intimate experience belongs to each couple.

Consent and boundaries remain present throughout the retreat. Participants can communicate, adapt, pause or choose not to continue with an exploration. This structure is particularly important for couples who are interested in attending a Tantra couples retreat in Portugal but may feel shy or uncertain about what actually happens within this type of environment.

Kāmarasa is an educational and embodied training experience. It is not partner exchange, sexual performance or an environment where couples are expected to prove how open or experienced they are.

Why an Immersion Weekend in Portugal?

Embodied learning requires time. A technique can be explained quickly, but understanding how it feels in your own body, how your partner responds and how the experience changes when you alter breath, rhythm, pressure or attention requires practice.

Kāmarasa is therefore structured as an Immersion Weekend, beginning on Friday evening and continuing until Sunday afternoon. The training develops progressively, giving couples time to experience, integrate, rest and return to the exploration instead of receiving a large amount of information within a single class.

Stepping away from ordinary routines also creates a different quality of attention. At home, intimacy often exists alongside phones, work, appointments, family responsibilities and everything that needs to happen the following day. During an immersion, couples have dedicated time for the relationship itself.

Portugal provides the setting for this experience, while the retreat is facilitated in English and created for international couples. The intimate group format allows couples to experience the energy of learning alongside others while maintaining the privacy and boundaries of their own relationship.

Kāmarasa — Multi-Orgasmic Tantric Training Retreat for Couples in Portugal

Kāmarasa brings together Tantra, sensory exploration, conscious touch, erotic communication, sexual energy, pleasure mapping, Yoni and Lingam education, orgasmic awareness and practices from Authentic Tantra Massage by May Gonzalez within one progressive journey for couples.

The purpose is not to prescribe how sexuality should look or create another definition of sexual success. It is to give couples knowledge, embodied practices and dedicated space to understand their own responses, recognise the language of their partner’s body and explore possibilities that may remain undiscovered within familiar intimacy.

Multi-orgasmic Tantra then becomes less about counting orgasms and increasingly about developing the capacity to experience pleasure with awareness: understanding arousal, recognising sensation, learning to give and receive, communicating clearly and discovering how pleasure can change when the body is given time to feel.
